"Their stories break your heart, their faces melt your soul, and part
of you leaves with them when they are placed in their new homes. But it
is an honor to be able to provide a warm shelter, lots of attention and
tummy rubs to homeless Corgis until a deserving home can be found for
these noble souls." - Heidi Dahlin
RESCUE POLICY. We
look for the best possible match for each rescue dog; we do not
place rescue dogs on a first-come first-served basis. Our rescue
application (available on this website) asks for basic home and
family information. When we are ready to place a dog, the applications
are reviewed and phone calls made to likely candidates. We require
a home visit. We do a "meet and greet" to see if everyone is
still interested and, if that goes well, the dog can go home
on a two-week trial. If everyone is still happy after that time,
the official adoption takes place and the dog becomes the property
of the new home. Our adoption fee is $100. If the new owners
are, at any time in the future, unable to keep the dog, we require
that it be returned to us.
All rescue dogs are checked by a vet and neutered/spayed. We
try to find out as much about each dog as possible before placing
it, because we want the new home to be successful!
We are fortunate enough to find homes within Oregon and Washington for
almost all our rescued corgis. Out-of-area homes are considered only
in special circumstances, for dogs we have not been able to place
locally. If you are from outside of our area and are looking for
a rescue corgi, please refer to the website of the Pembroke Welsh
Corgi Club of America to locate a club rescue program near you.

Corgi Rescue.
NOTE: We do not accept e-mail messages with attached files. Applications must be sent through
the U.S. Postal Service
