About Us
The Columbia River Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club (CRPWCC) is a regional club affiliated with the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America. CRPWCC activities and members are primarily located in Oregon and southern Washington, although the club has members in many areas of the country. The CRPWCC encourages and promotes quality and conformance to the standard in the breeding of Pembroke Welsh Corgis; protects and advances the interests of the breed; encourages sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and obedience trials; and conducts specialty shows and obedience trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club.

Corgi Currents is published three times per year: Spring, Fall, and Winter. The opinions expressed in the newsletter are not necessarily those of the CRPWCC, the CPWCC, the Corgi Currents committee, or any other newsletter contributors. Corgi Currents accepts no responsibility for errors in ads printed.

Articles appearing in the publication may not be reprinted elsewhere without the permission of Corgi Currents and the article author. If granted permission to reprint an article, proper credit must be given and a copy of the publication containing the reprint must be sent to the Corgi Currents editor.

How to Submit Articles to Corgi Currents

You can provide either electronic files or paper copy.

Electronic file:This is the most accurate method. You can submit a diskette to the editors or e-mail the information to us (either in the body of the e-mail or as a file attached to the e-mail message).

If e-mailing a file, be sure your mail program does not compress or convert attached files. Attach only one file per e-mail message. E-mail the file to Newsletter@oregoncorgis.org.

Paper copy: Please type or print. Indicate formatting desired (bold, italic, large print, and so forth). Include your name and telephone number. Keep a copy of the page(s) for yourself, in case we call you with questions. If you are providing photos or artwork, put your name on the back of each item.

When sending material to us via Express Mail or FedEx, be sure you waive the signature.

Submitting Prints of Digital or Scanned Photos

We are very proud of the production quality of the Corgi Currents. Quite a bit of time and expense is spent on the photos in each issue. Sometimes pictures that are printed from an electronic file (digital photos or scanned images) can look "grainy" and do not reproduce well. If you are submitting this type of picture to the Currents, you can do several things to improve the quality of the image.

Print on special "color photo" paper - available at any office supply store, expensive but worth it.

Use a photo ink cartridge, if such is available for your printer (follow package instructions).

Test the various quality/brightness/dpi settings for printer output on your system, and use the one that provides the clearest and densest image.

For additional information, email the newsletter editor at Newsletter@oregoncorgis.org.
