Membership

Our members have a broad range of interests, ranging from pet owners to breeders. Our interests are not limited to showing in AKC conformation. We also have obedience, junior handlers, educational programs and several members involved with agility, herding and tracking. Most importantly, we are all beloved pet owners who gather together to share our appreciation for these delightful dogs.

Our membership procedures require that a current member request an application packet for you. This person should be someone who knows you and your involvement with dogs, and who preferably has visited your home. The endorsement of a second member who is acquainted with you is also required. Once you have completed the membership application, your sponsor should return it and both sponsorship forms to our Membership Chair. At the first meeting thereafter, a formal reading of your application and comments by your sponsor will take place. There will then be a second reading at the following meeting, and those members in attendance will vote on your application. The process sounds daunting but is really pretty easy once folks get to know you. We'd love to have you join us at one of our upcoming meetings/activities so you can have the opportunity to get to know us.

Our meetings our generally held the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. typically held at the Guest House Inn & Suites in Wilsonville, Oregon. The location varies but you can always confirm the location by checking our website calendar. Because people do come from distances, we try to conclude the meeting by 9:00 or by 9:30 at the latest. In addition to conducting club business, we often have an interesting program. For example, how to groom your corgi and do nails, current naturopathic technology such as acupuncture and massage, creating a  doggie first aid kit, and presentations by veterinarians on corgi health concerns. We strongly encourage people interested in membership to attend various Club activities. It not only provides our members with the opportunity to get to know you, but will also help you to decide whether or not the Club is a good fit for you.
