Club Activities

Club Meetings

The CRPWCC club meetings are open to the public. The meetings are held every third Thursday of the month for the months of January, February, March, April, May, September, October.

Kayak Corgi

Annual Specialty Show

The CRPWCC holds an AKC-sanctioned Specialty Show every July, usually an outdoor event. The Specialty includes conformation, sweepstakes, and obedience. The club hosts a supper buffet for participants on the evening before the show. After the show, we hold a Corgi Fashion Show, a banquet, and the very popular Silent Auction.

This is a wonderful opportunity for non-members to come and see all the beautiful Corgis and meet the members of the club.  It's a busy day with the show, our Ways and Means booth with Corgi memorabilia, shirts, sweatshirts, dog toys, and we also invite other vendors to participate so you can also enjoy a day of shopping.

B/OB Match (Conformation and Obedience)

Every year the Club holds a Conformation and Obedience Match. The day includes raffle drawings, potluck dinner, and club meeting.

Scholarship

CRPWCC is proud to support the Veterinary College of Oregon State University and presents an annual Student Assistance Award to a deserving veterinarian student. The award is a monetary gift presented to a third or fourth year veterinary student in good academic standing, who has an interest in promoting purebred dog activities. The recipient also needs to plan to pursue a career in small animal practice.

1999 - Monica Pollock; 2000 - Jed Topham; 2002 - Laura Kavanagh

Holiday Brunch

The annual CRPWCC Holiday Brunch is well attended by club members and their guests at a local restaurant. There are holiday carols usually with Corgi related lyrics, club member awards, and a fun gift exchange. Every year, the club members recognize the accomplishments during the past year and present four special awards: Leadership, Unsung Hero, Most Inspirational, and Member of the Year.

Annual Doggie Dash & Family Fair

Every year, more than 2000 dogs and their owners come out to join K103 for this half-day family oriented event that includes a two-mile Fun Run and Walk for dogs and their owners.

Join in the fun as dogs and you participate in post-race activities such as “Silly Pet Tricks” and a “Dog/Owner Look Alike” contest. You can also attend the Family Fair including the “Barking Lot,” which showcases canine and family related products and services.

Proceeds from the Doggie Dash benefit the Oregon Humane Society.
